I would like to express our deep gratitude for the birthing class we took. There are many avenues to cover when it comes to birth. Every pregnancy, labor, birth and child are completely different. We were hoping for a natural home birth, and got the complete opposite. We were VERY prepared for the journey thanks to every angle covered by Holly in our class. It made me very happy that she covered the gamut as for as options and different avenues to explore. Her experience as labor and delivery nurse, and as a yoga teacher, as well as a birth coach makes her the perfect well-rounded teacher and her passion is very obvious. My husband and I are chiropractors at BodoChiro and we specialize in pregnancy and pediatrics; 50% of our clientele are pregnant. Our passion is serving people to have the most comfortable pregnancy, birth and postpartum care. I am type 1 diabetic, therefore could not deliver at home. In the end, after 48 hours of labor, we had a very large baby who would not fit, and became distressed. We opted for a c-section because baby was not OK. Holly happened to be working post-surgery and greeted us in recovery with flowers from her garden. What a delight to see the very person that prepared us for this journey. In the end, we did the best we could, but there are limitations we had to consider. Our baby, Maxwell had to be in the NICU for 5 days, again something we didn’t expect, but we were very prepared with the tools and information that we received from Holly on how to cope when the unexpected happens.
